Reflecting on an Incredible Two Days at IoT Tech Expo Global

In this blog, we reflect on two incredible days at the IoT Tech Expo in London, Olympia.

12 Feb 2026 By: Faizan Khan

What a whirlwind! The team at Alliot has just returned from the IoT Tech Expo at London’s Olympia, and we’re still buzzing from the energy of the event. It was a fantastic opportunity to step away from our screens and engage face-to-face with the people driving the future of connected technology.

First and foremost, a massive thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand. Whether you are a long-standing customer we’ve worked with for years or a new connection we met for the first time. It’s always great to meet people in the flesh and discuss project ideas and progress. Quite often, it’s these conversations which become the inspiration for some truly unique applications.

Insights from the Front Stage

A particular highlight of the event was seeing our Managing Director, Craig Herrett, take to the front stage. Craig shared his expertise on the evolving landscape of LoRaWANâ and smart deployments, discussing how businesses can bridge the gap between "proof of concept" and "scale." It was brilliant to see such a high level of engagement from the audience during the Q&A session, proving that the appetite for robust IoT solutions is stronger than ever.

Live Demos: Seeing is Believing

Back at the stand, the momentum continued. Craig and the team were kept busy hosting live, hands-on demos, showing exactly how our hardware and software work in tandem to solve real-world problems.

We showcased a variety of critical use cases that are currently transforming building management, including:

  • CheckSight: An integrated solution for streamlining compliance.
  • IoThink Platform: Demonstrating how seamless data visualisation can be for complex sensor networks.
  • Legionella Monitoring: Automated temperature reporting to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Emergency Lighting: Smart monitoring to reduce manual testing overheads and ensure site safety. (Please add in relevant links here)

Strength in Collaboration: MClimate & Synetica

One of the highlights of our stand this year was the presence of our partners, MClimate and Synetica. At Alliot, we pride ourselves on being part of a robust ecosystem, and having these experts on hand added immense value for our visitors.

  • MClimate: Their portfolio focused on Energy Efficiency, showcasing how smart thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) and building controls can drastically reduce carbon footprints.
  • Synetica: They led the conversation on Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Monitoring, highlighting the vital link between CO2 levels, occupant health, and workplace productivity.

The synergy between these product sets underscored a clear theme for 2026: the "Smart Building" is no longer a luxury, but a necessity for sustainability and wellbeing.

Our Coffee Sponsor: Netmore

Thank you to our coffee sponsor, Netmore, who kept visitors fuelled up with fresh coffee and pastries throughout both days of the expo.

Until Next Time!

As we pack away the sensors and business cards, we want to extend one final thank you to TechEx for organising such a successful and well-oiled event. The sheer scale of innovation on display was a testament to how far the IoT industry has come.

To everyone we spoke with, thank you for your time, your insights, and your curiosity. We’re already busy following up on our discussions and look forward to seeing where these new partnerships take us.
